| Protecting Your Surgical Outcomes: Ensuring MVA Patients Access Prescribed Care Imtiaz Hosein Imtiaz Hosein is a personal injury lawyer at Campisi Law who represents people with catastrophic and serious orthopedic injuries following motor vehicle accidents. Since joining the firm in 2017, his work has centred on one question that matters to every clinical team: whether patients actually receive the treatment, equipment, and rehabilitation their doctors prescribe. Much of personal injury practice involves accident benefits claims, where insurer funding decisions determine access to post operative care such as physiotherapy, personal support workers assistance, bracing, and home safety equipment. He works closely with the clinical record to secure approvals, challenge denials, and pursue catastrophic designations that unlock extended funding for long term recovery. Beyond individual cases, Imtiaz is advancing claims in Ontario's courts that directly affect patient care, including challenges to insurer practices that deny medical and rehabilitation benefits to people with preexisting health conditions. He has advocated at all levels of court from Tribunals in Ontario to the Supreme Court of Canada. He also leads Campisi Law's summer student and articling programs. Imtiaz was called to the Ontario bar in 2017 and is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. |
